About Michelle

Hello everyone! My name is Michelle Mulligan. I am 26 years old and from the wonderful town of Ballina, Co. Mayo. 

I grew up playing Soccer, Gaelic Football and Rugby locally and went on to coach ladies soccer at club and county level with the Mayo Emerging Talent teams from U12 –U16 levels after suffering a serious ankle injury in early 2014! This difficult encounter helped me develop my desire for helping people recover from pain or injury.

After finishing in St. Mary’s Secondary School, I went on to study Health and Leisure with Massage at the Institute of Technology,  Tralee (I.T.T) in Co. Kerry, where I studied for 4 years gaining a level 8 BSc degree.

During this time, I worked part-time in a local Spa as a massage therapist to  gain confidence, further training and gain practical experience in working with different clients and different injuries or conditions.

And now I am running my own Massage Clinic in the heart of Ballina. Mulligan Massage Clinic (MMC), established in September 2020, is located above Rouses Jewellers on Pearse Street, Ballina, Co. Mayo.

I have met some amazing people since opening. I have treated clients with a range of injuries and conditions,  learning something new everyday and helping as many people live their life as easily and as pain free as possible! I look forward to studying further to offer as many services as possible to the wonderful people of Ballina and the surrounding areas.
